Ayokunle Durojaiye

Director of Development

Ayokunle Durojaiye is a mechanical engineering student at Obafemi Awolowo University who manages DACTION’s grant and partnership pipeline, identifying funding opportunities and maintaining relationships with funders and institutional partners.

He has built practical industry skills through internships at Chevron Nigeria Limited and Toyota Nigeria Limited, and currently serves as a campus ambassador for Cowrywise. He has been recognized with the MTN Scholarship and the SOHCAHTOA Scholarship, and won the JAASF award for his essay “Nigerian Economy: A Way Forward.”

His commitment to sustainable development is rooted in concern for both mental health and the protection of endangered animals. He believes human wellbeing and nature are directly connected, and seeing the rapid, unregulated hunting of endangered species pushed him toward conservation advocacy, understanding that protecting natural ecosystems is essential to a balanced environment that reduces societal stress and supports mental wellness.

When he's not studying or working on community projects, Ayokunle enjoys writing and staying active through basketball, football, and table tennis.
